I know how difficult it is to deal with Government Agencies they
even declined to interview me but they do have access to some
great resources for housing.   

Because there's  just not allot of options for housing and HUD
does not go out of its way to make it easy for you to use I have
provided this break down of their services.

                                            All about HUD:
HUD's mission is to increase homeownership, support community
development and increase access to affordable housing free from
discrimination. To fulfill this mission, HUD will embrace high standards
of ethics, management and accountability and forge new
partnerships--particularly with faith-based and community organizations
that leverage resources and improve HUD's ability to be effective on
the community level.

HUD provides funding to local and national organizations 
like Catholic Charities USA to address the affordable housing issue.
So when access the Hud web site don't be alarmed if you are directed 
to one of HUD's affiliates.    

Point is you can find housing ....and lots of it... 

Please remember your working with a government agency
so to get what you want  you need to be VERY PERSISTENT
